The iconic Blackpool Illuminations were switched on this year by Barbara Windsor and an action packed show headlined by Diversity kept the crowds entertained. NoNonsense provided a 3 bay 15m Apollo Roof along with a 35m x 15m VIP platform with glass handrails and a 21m x 7m viewing platform on wheels as it had to be moved into position once the road had been closed to extend the site across the tram tracks to accommodate the 15,000 capacity crowd.
Saturday and Sunday saw the site turn into a Nickelodeon Family Event with a range of acts performing on the stage, the new Teenage Ninja Mutant Turtles film shown on the big screen and a range of interactive activities for children.
